WALL SAWING
CMZ Cutting and Coring provides both electric and hydraulic wall saws to service any job site requirements. Wall sawing is an essential part of selective concrete demolition and eliminates the need for noisy jackhammers. Wall sawing allows for precise termination points when separating the structural element from buildings. We use our concrete wall sawing equipment from small residential settings to large commercial projects. Our expert wall sawing operators can safely create any sized wall, slab, or roof openings. Wall sawing applications include:
- Wall openings for windows and doors
- Gaining pipe access
- Access for structural repairs
- Doorway openings
- HVAC Installation
SLAB SAWING
CMZ Cutting and Coring offers both exterior and interior slab sawing, outdoor applications use diesel-powered equipment, while indoor projects utilize electric, fume-free equipment. We use slab saws on various concrete surfaces, including concrete floors, roads, sidewalks, driveways, loading docks, and many more.
Traditional use of a jackhammer for concrete slab work is highly inefficient and, most importantly, does not provide the precision cutting that slab sawing provides. We utilize slab sawing as a substitute for traditional jackhammering, significantly reducing mess and clean-up time. We can accurately and efficiently cut and remove any concrete or asphalt for trenching and slab removal. Our slab saws allow us to cut to a depth of 18¬ inches. We also provide indoor electric slab sawing, which provides fume-free slab saw removal. Some of the different applications that we use slab sawing for include:
- Road works
- Bridgework
- Sidewalks and curbs
- Concrete slabs
- Trenching requirements
- Running underground pipework
- Addition of ductwork to an existing structure
- Highway crack repair
- Installing and repairing sewer or maintenance lines.
CORE DRILLING
Concrete core drilling involves removing a cylinder, called a core, of concrete from a wall, floor, or ceiling. Concrete core drilling can be utilized for a wide variety of applications, such as plumbing, HVAC, cabling for both indoor and outdoor residential and commercial projects, roadway and slab holes for drainage, rebar tie-ins, and doweling drilling for industrial projects. It can also be used for the installation of recessed lighting. Unlike traditional methods that stir up dust, we use a wet cutting method that accurately and efficiently prevents the release of harmful silica into the air where it can cause serious health concerns for workers and passerby. We take safety very seriously for both our employees as well as others in the field, which is why nearly all of our services are dust-free.
We can drill a wide variety of holes depending on your needs from ¼ inch up to 54 inches in diameter, our team can manage even the most serious heavy-duty concrete coring drilling jobs. Our selection of electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic concrete core drilling equipment provides the flexibility needed to get the job done efficiently and quickly.
